Oh ladies, I am excited to announce that my BFF Jimmy, Choo that is, will be teaming-up with Swedish Fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz. . .aka H&M. His line of affordable shoes, accessories and clothing for both men and women will hit 200 H&M stores worldwide on November 14, 2009.

Although this announcement excites me, there are many who are none to thrilled. I can see both sides of the arguement, on the one side, I think that everyone deserves the opportunity to feel and look fabulous. . .and designers who team up with discount retailers such as H&M allow everyday people a taste of luxury at an affordable price.
The other side argues that the price tag is what makes an item a luxury. . .and that designers shouldn't discount their name, because then why pay for the luxurious name?
In my opinion, the luxury item is still worth the price tag because of the quaility. Yes, Jimmy will design a beautiful shoe for H&M, but the quality and materials won't be on the same level as his exclusive line.
I want to hear from you. . .what do you think of this team-up?
