Everywhere you turn you hear it: the word recession. So it may be true, the economy has taken a bit of a downturn. Maybe you aren't shopping as much as your once were, or aren't buying as frivoulously. However, is the answer to start buying cheaper items, or to just buy less of the expensive ones? While I love a good bargain, I have found that forking over a little more cash for an item is usally worth it when it comes to quality and wearability.
That said, now is not the time to be buying expensive items that you will only get one use out of. I found a D&G skirt on net-a-porter.com that I just love, but with the price tag of $450 I wasn't sure if it was worth the price. Using Polyvore I was able to create 3 totally different outfits around the one skirt. . .making it work for work, night, or a casual afternoon! Proving the versatility of the skirt, I can now justify spending the extra money for something that I really love, and that really makes a statement!
